I started a YouTube channel called Sumi Eigo Cafe.
You can listen to background music and songs inspired by some of my blog posts.
Looking back, I’ve loved English and music since I was in high school.
In high school, I joined a music club and sang while playing the guitar.
I still love singing, and these days, one of my favorite things to do is karaoke by myself.
Being able to sing out loud without worrying about disturbing anyone feels good for me, too.
I sing Japanese songs as well, but lately, I’ve been singing more songs in English.
Songs often stay in my mind, and sometimes I find myself singing them without even thinking about it.
The words and phrases in songs may not always be the ones we use in everyday conversation, but they can be easier to remember and can also be a fun way to practice English.
The music on Sumi Eigo Cafe is created with the help of AI.
Some of the songs were even inspired by posts from this blog.
And now, for the first time, “Every Number Tells a Story” is also available on music streaming services such as Spotify. This song was inspired by my blog post, “Age Is Just a Number?”
I hope these songs can help you relax during a break from English practice or in your free time, and maybe even make you feel ready to take on the day.
I’d like to keep adding songs little by little that can be there for moments like these.
