アルファベットに音があったなんて

アメリカの小学校しょうがっこうでボランティアをした時ときのことです。
アルファベットに音おとがある？

d はドｩ　
e は エ
s は ス 
k は ク

アルファベットには音おとがあったんですね。
発音記号はつおんきごうを見みて言いったり、
音声おんせいを聞きいて同おなじように言いって覚おぼえていましたが、
音おとのルールを覚おぼえると音声おんせいを聞きかずに発音はつおんできるんですね(^^)

I didn’t know the alphabet had sounds!

It was when I volunteered at an elementary school in the U.S.
“Do letters have sounds?” I wondered.

For example:
d → ドゥ
e → エ
s → ス
k → ク

Put them together — desk! Wow!

I learned that each alphabet letter actually has its own sound.

Before that, I learned pronunciation by looking at phonetic symbols or listening to sounds.
But once you know the sound rules, you can pronounce words even without hearing them.

On the Aa-Zz page, the alphabet sounds are written in Katakana, as close to English as possible.
